| Huge Primer fan, but the one thing I've never been able to understand is the ability to accept multiple versions of yourself in one time period. Why would Aaron be comfortable knowing that, short of killing himself, he can never go back to his wife and kid? I realize he's basically mad with power at the end, but it still feels like duty number one would be to at least off the duplicates. |

The simplest answer is he didn't want to go back to his wife and kid. With a clone of himself doing the 'family man' stuff, he was free to do virtually anything he wanted to do. Which is why at the end we see him in France(?) building his king-sized box.
People on the forums (and I tend to agree with them) decided that it was actually Abe who was fond of Aaron's family. And perhaps wished they were his family and not Aaron's. This is backed up by dialog throughout the movie as well as by the closing scenes, where Abe is shown watching over the family (as well as the family man Aaron). |
